Hans Memling (1430 – 1494) verwerkte alle passages uit de lijdensgeschiedenis in één schilderij, inclusief de opstanding. De reeks begint begint linksboven met de intocht in Jeruzalem, slingert door de stad naar de tuin van Gethsemane (linksonder), vervolgt in het centrale deel (voorgeleiding aan Pilatus, geseling), en slingert de stad weer uit naar de kruisiging op de heuvel achter de stad.

Hans Memling (1430 – 1494) combined all passages from the Passion into one painting, included the Resurrection. The story starts in the top left, with the entry into Jerusalem, followes its way through town to the Garden of Gethsemane (in the lower left), continues in the central part (before Pilate, flagellation), and leaves town on its way to the hill behind the city.
