(Locrian dialect ἀμφόταρος “IG” 9(1).334.39) , α, ον, (ἄμφω) rare in singular, either, i.e. both of two (opposed to ἑκάτερος each one of two), ἀμφοτέρας κοινὸν αἴας common to either land, Aeschylus Tragicus “Persae” 131 ; ποίημα ἢ πάθος ἢ ἀμφότερον or partaking of both, Plato Philosophus “Sophista” 248d; τὸ ἀμφότερον ἑκατέρῳ οὐχ ἕπεται prev. author “Hp.Ma.” 302e.
