ἀπο-καλύπτω, [in LXX chiefly for גּלה H1540;] 1. in general sense (cl.), to reveal, uncover, disclose (a) of things: Mt 10:26, Lk 2:35 12:2, I Co 3:13; (b) of persons: pass., Christ, Lk 17:30; Antichrist, II Th 2:3, 6, 8. 2. In LXX and NT, in special sense of divine revelation: Mt 11:25 (on the tense, v.
