   Polybius Historicus 18.30.3 :—mostly in middle, future -ιοῦμαι Josephus Historicus “Bellum Judaicum” 2.21.4, but -ίσομαι prev. author “AJ” 13.5.11, and so Diodorus Siculus Historicus 20.24 : perfect ἠσφάλισμαι Polybius Historicus 5.43.6: pluperfect ἠσφάλιστο prev. work 7.12 : aorist ἠσφαλισάμην prev. author 2.22.11; ἠσφαλίσθην Josephus Historicus “Vita” 62 : some of these tenses are used in passive sense (see. below):—fortify, τὸν τόπον Polybius Historicus 18.30.3, etc. :—passive, prev. author 1.42.7, 4.70.9, NT.Matt.27.64.
