Woordstudie
doýlos̱, "slaaf, dienstknecht, lijfeigene"; omdat in deze periode het niet puur slaven (mensen die niets over hun eigen lichaam te zeggen hadden) gaat, maar vaak ook vrijgekochte slaven die besloten om bij hun vroegere eigenaar te blijven werken kan het best vertaald worden als "lijfeigene" of "horige".
