  adverb, comparative ἐγγυτέρω (-τέρῳ “Hellenica Oxyrhynchia” 6.3), also -ύτερον Plato Philosophus “Leges” 704e: Sup. ἐγγυτάτω or -ύτατα (first in Hippocrates Medicus, and Attic.) ; also ἔγγῑον, ἔγγιστα (see. ἐγγίων).
