ἐκ-βολή, -ῆς (< ἐκβάλλω), [in LXX: Ex 11:1 (גָּרַשׁ H1644), Jos 1:5 (ἐκβολὴν ποιεῖσθαι, טול H2904 hi.), Ez 47:8 (יָצָא H3318)* ;] 1. a throwing out. 2. a jettison, a throwing overboard of cargo: Ac 27:18 (cf. Jos, l.c.; and v. Field, Notes, 144 f.).†
