  contraction μνῶμαι, used by Homerus Epicus sometimes (only in Odyssea Homerus Epicus “Odyssey”) in the contr. forms μνᾶται, μνώμεθα, μνῶνται, μνάσθω, μνᾶσθαι, μνώμενος ; compare imperfect μνᾶτο Hesiodus Epicus “Fragmenta” 96.1: sometimes in these contr. forms lengthened again, as _2nd pers._ sg. present μνάᾳ, infinitive μνάασθαι μνᾱ-, participle μνωόμενο; Ionic dialect μνώμενος Herodotus Historicus 1.96 (variant{μνεώμενος}), 205: 3sg. pl. imperfect μνώοντο, Homerus Epicus (see. below); imper. μνώεο Apollonius Rhodius Epicus 1.896, al.; opt. μνώοιο 1st c.BC(?): Maximus Astrologus 74 ; Ionic dialect imperfect μνάσκετο Odyssea Homerus Epicus “Odyssey” 20.290: only present and imperfect, except aorist μνήσατο (in signification 11.1) Eupolis Comicus 413.
