__II metaphorically, leap, bound, ὀρχεῖται δὲ καρδία φόβῳ Aeschylus Tragicus “Choephori” 166, compare Anaxandrides Comicus 59 ; Θεσσαλίη ὠρχήσατο Thessaly shook, trembled, Callimachus Epicus “Hymnus in Delum” 139.
__III active ὀρχέω, make to dance (see. Plato Philosophus “Cratylus” 407a) , is used by Ion Trag. 50, ἐκ τῶν ἀέλπτων μᾶλλον ὤρχησεν φρένας made my heart leap (so codices Athenaeus Epigrammaticus, ὤρχησαι Nauck) ; but ὀρκῆσι in Aristophanes Comicus “Thesmophoriazusae” 1179 is a barbarism for ὀρχῆται.
