  adverb, (τᾰχύς) quickly, presently, forthwith, frequently in Homerus Epicus, who, like Pindarus Lyricus (“O.” 2.29, 4.83, al.) and Bacchylides Lyricus (5.89) , uses it only of time, Ilias Homerus Epicus “Illiad” 1.205, 2.193, al. ; ἦ τ. soon i'faith, Odyssea Homerus Epicus “Odyssey” 18.73, 338 ; of past time, τ. δ᾽ Ἕκτορος ἄγχι γένοντο Ilias Homerus Epicus “Illiad” 8.117: also in Trag.and (more rarely) Attic dialectProse and Comedy texts, with future, τάχ᾽ εἴσομαι Aeschylus Tragicus “Septem contra Thebas” 261, compare “Ag.” 489, 1649, “Ch.” 305, Sophocles Tragicus “Oedipus Tyrannus” 84, Aristophanes Comicus “Ranae” 527, Plato Philosophus “Sophista” 247d, etc. ; ἔοικα θεσπιῳδήσειν τ.
