מַזָּרוֹת pl. f. ἅπαξ λέγοµ. Job 38:32; prob. i.q. מַזָּלוֹתH04208 (see the letter ל), the signs of the Zodiac; prop. lodgings; Chald. מַזּלַיָּא. (Vulg. lucifer.) The objection to this interpretation made by Ewald (Heb. Gramm. p. 36, note), that ר is often softened into ל, but that very rarely vice versâ, l is hardened into r, is removed by the examples, p. 421, A, which might easily be increased.
