Samenvatting

This commentary is entirely in Hebrew along with the Hebrew translation of the Greek text of the Gospel of Luke. This is a revision by Biesenthal of Frommann's Hebrew commentary on Luke from 1735 (entitled "Evangelium Lucae"), which is available elsewhere (e.g., Google Books). Frommann's commentary ends with Luke 22:14; Biesenthal’s edition finishes the commentary to the end of the gospel. The commentary takes into account the Talmud and Midrash in explaining the book of Hebrews. Except for the translation of Luke, the commentary is printed entirely in Rashi script.
