__II middle with aorist passive in active sense, with dative person, rail at, τινι Aristophanes Comicus “Equites” 1400, “Pl.” 456, “Ec.” 248, Plato Philosophus “Respublica” 395d, etc.; also λ. ἐπί τινι Xenophon Historicus “Agesilaus” 7.3 ; τινος 3rd c.AD(?): Achilles Tatius Astronomus 1.6; εἴς τινα Lucianus Sophista “Anach.” 22; πρός τινα LXX.Exo.17.2: with acc. cogn., πάντα τὰ αἰσχρὰ λοιδορέονται, ὅτι+2nd c.AD+.. they use all kind of foul reproaches, saying that.., Herodotus Historicus 4.184; λοιδορίαν ἣν ἐλοιδορήθη Κρατίνῳ περὶ τούτων Demosthenes Orator 21.132. —active never has dative except in later Gr., LXX.Exo.17.2, LXX.2Mac.12.14, Epictetus Philosophus “Enchiridion” 34, 2nd c.AD(?): Antoninus Liberalis Mythographus 22.5; in Andocides Orator 1.67 +5th c.BC+ (ἠναντιώθην καὶ ἀντεῖπον —καὶ ἐλοιδόρησα—ἐκείνῳ ὧν ἦν ἄξιος) the dative (if correct) depends on the other verbs; as does the accusative in οὓς ὕβριζες καὶ ἐλοιδοροῦ Hyperides Orator “Dem.fragment” (a). —Only the active is found in Trag.
