indefinite adverb (better written δή που) perhaps, it may be, ᾧ δή που ἀδελφεὸν ἔκτανε Ilias Homerus Epicus “Illiad” 24.736 : in Trag. and Attic dialect usually doubtless, I presume, οὐ δήπου τλητόν Aeschylus Tragicus “Prometheus Vinctus” 1064; τῶν Ααΐου δ. τις ὠνομάζετο Sophocles Tragicus “Oedipus Tyrannus” 1042, compare Aristophanes Comicus “Plutus” 491, 582, Thucydides Historicus 1.121, etc. ; ἴστε γὰρ δή που, μέμνησθε γὰρ δή που, Demosthenes Orator 2.25, 19.113, compare 18.249; σχεδὸν ἴσμεν ἅπαντες δή που prev. author 3.9; οὐδεὶς ἀγνοεῖ δή που prev. author 21.156.
__II as interrogative implying an affirmative answer, τὴν αἰχμάλωτον κάτοισθα δή πο; i.e. I presume you know, Sophocles Tragicus “Trachiniae” 418; ἀνόμοιον δή που Plato Philosophus “Theaetetus” 159b ; οὐ δή πο; surely it is not so? implying a negative answer, as Aristophanes Comicus “Ranae” 526, Plato Philosophus “Meno” 73c.
